Minimum Age Requirement
To be eligible for NEET UG, a candidate must have completed a minimum of 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course. For example, if you are appearing for NEET 2025, your date of birth should fall on or before December 31, 2008.
Is there an Upper Age Limit for NEET?
In a landmark decision, the National Medical Commission (NMC) removed the upper age limit for the NEET UG exam. Previously, there was a cap of 25 years for general category candidates and 30 years for reserved categories. However, currently, there is no upper age limit. This means candidates of any age can appear for the exam, provided they meet the educational qualification requirements (10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English).
